ICE SPA - Sheraton Anchorage

PROJECT: Renovation of an existing 16-story 375-key Sheraton Hotel, including conversion of the 16th floor to a full service day spa.

SOLUTION: Fire and ice make this spa the latest hit in luxury hotel amenities in chilly Anchorage, Alaska. Metaphors of ice crystals, faux animal fur wraps, and a color palette of cool whites to blues are combined to create a concept of luxury and warmth.

STORY: The new spa occupies space previously occupied by underutilized suites and boasts commanding views of nearby Portage Glacier and the Chugach Mountains. In an economy where hotels are searching for every opportunity to increase revenue in underperforming space, the spa proved to be a key element in the success of this full 375-room hotel renovation.
